Wetland Construction Starts September 15th, 2025

Diggin’ It Excavating joins us again this fall to complete more wetlands!

Stqeeye’ Learning Society’s Fall wetland construction starts Sept 15th to October 10th in the park. We will be completing the two pools inside the newly fenced Field 10 IPSAR wetlands and beginning Field 8 wetlands. Visitors to the park will see heavy machinery and dump trucks accessing the fields at Field 1, the first entrance on the left as you enter the park. Please refrain from parking near this entrance to allow for heavy machinery to turn in and out here.

Wetland work will convert up to 4 hectares of disused agricultural fields into wetlands. Volunteers are needed to join us in planting over 10,000 trees and shrubs into the newly restored areas. Planting begins Oct 14th and runs until December 12th. To volunteer please email: rachel@stqeeye.ca
